Verbal Periphrasis in Spanish

 In this exercise, we will investigate "Perífrasis Verbales" (Verbal Periphrasis). "Prefiero el bistro al té." (I lean toward drinking espresso to tea.) 

Deber and Infinitive: are utilized to communicate a commitment or to offer guidance. 

Commitment: "Deben entregar las respuestas del examen mañana por la tarde." (You should give the test answers tomorrow around lunchtime.) 

To offer guidance: "Si vas an Argentina, debes visitar Bariloche."(If you go to Argentina, you should visit Bariloche.) 



Necesitar and Infinitive: demonstrates need. Mejor Freidora sin Aceite

"Necesito encontrar mis anteojos." (I need to discover my glasses.) 


"Mi marido sabe cocinar." (My significant other realizes how to cook.) Saber and Infinitive: to communicate to realize how to accomplish something great.
